Background: Dr. Ahrons is president of DACON Associates, a consulting group in electronics. He has a wide experience of over 30 years in semiconductors, working for such firms in engine ering and marketing, as Motorola, National Semiconductor, RCA, S-MOS Systems(Seiko), Burroughs(Unisys) and Opcoa. The later is a semiconductor startup he founded. His consulting includes new product analysis including competitive analysis, product launch, all promotional aspects of semiconductor products, business aspects, semiconductor sourcing, IC wafer and package foundry, project management, startup support, and intellectual property.
He is well known in both IC publishing and business analysis (such a s Dataquest). Dr. Ahrons has published over 30 papers, a report on IC package foundries, and has 12 patents. The patents include memories and CMOS circuits. He has launched products such as MPU/MCU, memories, ASSPs, and displays.
Dr. Ahrons has been an active litigation support consultant for the last ten years with over 10,000 hrs. His focus was on background consulting for intellectual property matters involving semiconductor memory technology. From 1993 to 1997 he served as a background consultant to National Semiconductor Corporation as a technology patent analyst for litigation matters memory, microchip fabrication and microprocessor issues. involving semiconductor Dr. Ahrons has been engaged by several major law firms including: Skjerven, Morrill, MacPherson, Franklin & Friel; Morrison & Foerster; Limbach & Limbach; McDermott, Will & Emery; and Cooley, Godward.
He has a BSEE and MSEE from MIT and a Ph.D. in communications and computers from New York Polytechnic Institute
