More than 450 businesses and public agencies have been certified as Green Businesses in Santa Clara County, part of the more than 2,000 businesses certified throughout the nine Bay Area counties. These businesses are making a difference in addressing these critical environmental issues by conserving energy and water, preventing pollution, minimizing waste, and reducing their carbon footprint.
In this talk, consultants will learn how and why to get Green Business certification for their consulting businesses, whether based in their homes or located in an office. In this economy, anything a consultant can do to have a marketing edge is important, and becoming a certified green business can improve one's visibility. Once a business is certified, it is added to an online directory which provides access to a marketing tool kit. The business receives a framed certificate and window decal, and is able to use the Green Business logo in its marketing collateral.
Arthur Keller and Lisa Rose will describe the certification process, as well as rebates and other resources available for implementing measures to conserve energy and water, and prevent waste and pollution.
