Steve Knapp has over 26 years of experience in high-technology, semiconductors, and CAE. Steve was an early employee at Xilinx, Inc. (inventors of the first FPGA), at Triscend Corp. (inventors of the first configurable System-on-a-Chip), and at Intel's programmable logic operation.

Steve performed a variety of functions, including Field Applications Engineer, new product development manager, applications engineering director, software developmer, IP core developer, and even managed sales and technical teams in Japan and throughout Asia Pacific. Steve has written and presented extensively on programmable logic and embedded processing.

Steve was awarded a BSc from the Massachusetts Instittue of Technology (MIT) and twelve U.S. patents.
