Salvador & Smith Associates was established in 1984 by Jack Salvador and Edward Smith with the goal to bring to the market their many years of experience designing testers and testing and screening Electronic Product.

Edward Smith was VP of Engineering for WEMS, an Independent Test Laboratory in Hawthorne, CA and Everett, WA. He more recently served as CTO for ADR Test Systems, LLC. In 2002 he was issued a patent for an IC Test System design that was sold to Third Millennium Test Solutions (3MTS). He holds a degree in Industrial Technology from San Jose State University and is now sole owner of S&SA.

Salvador & Smith Associates has assisted large clients, such as Hewlett Packard Corp, National Semiconductor, Abbott Labs and Infineon Technologies, and smaller clients such as RainBird Corp., with their Product Testing and Reliability Screening requirements. This includes:

• Selection and Documentation of Active and Passive Electronic Components
• Evaluation of Testing and Reliability screening requirements
• Selection of the appropriate means of Testing and Screening
• Development of the Test Strategy, Test List, Test Procedures and Software
• Improvement of Product Yield by identifying Yield loss causes
• Evaluation of Field Returns and recommendations for corrective action
