Design and Development
Past projects have included:

• Embedded software development, including medical devices, data analysis software.
• Clustering commodity servers, installation and provisioning, shared storage, high performance (HPC) and high availability (HA) computing.
• Architectural design and implementation of web infrastructure.
• System management software work has included collection, analysis and display of performance metrics across a cluster or data center.
• Other work included Ethernet device drivers, teaming and bonding drivers, driver and hardware design for hot swapping devices; virtualization of storage shares in a clustered environment; and virtualized process management across a cluster.

Engineering Management
By focusing on basic engineering principals, I have delivered results from stalled projects. I have staffed and energized groups and put in place agile development processes. I have worked with so-called Waterfall processes, but have had the most success using iterative and agile processes (where success is defined as the timely delivery of a working and reliable product that meets customer expectations).

Technology and Product Strategy
With a broad and deep experience in technology, and a track record of innovative product designs, I can help develop and refine product concepts based on underlying technologies.
